Recent ActivityAbout the Davies Library:
The mission of the Wm. M. Davies, Jr. Career and Technical High School Library is to support the curriculum of the school by ensuring the research and information needs of both students and staff are met. Through a two prong program, offering access to quality materials in a variety of formats and instruction in the proper use of these materials, it is ensured that students will develop the skills necessary to become effective users of ideas and information.
Hours:
8:05am - 2:11pm
Fourth Quarter - Closed advisory, 7th period, and 4th lunch.
Librarian: Mrs. Goodness, MLIS
Circulation Policies:
Students can borrow up to three books at one time, they must show their student ID, and have no
overdue books.
Library materials circulate 3 weeks for students, 4 weeks for faculty/staff.
Reminders for overdue books are distributed through advisory classes.
Reference materials and magazines do not circulate. They may be used in the library and copying
of individual pages is available free of charge.
Computer Use & Printing:
There are ten (10) computers to be used for school related work only.
There are three (3) printers (no color ink) available for student's to print school related work only.

YOU CAN PUT A BOOK ON HOLD, CHECK IF A BOOK YOU PUT ON
HOLD IS READY TO BE PICKED UP OR CHECK WHICH BOOKS YOU
HAVE OUT AND WHEN THEIR DUE BACK TO THE LIBRARY.
FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS BELOW
TO SEE WHAT BOOKS YOU HAVE OUT, WHEN THEY'RE DUE BACK OR
IF A BOOK YOU PUT ON HOLD IS READY:
*Go to Web Collection Plus
*Click on MY INFO
*Type in your ID# for the barcode and your Last Name for the password
*When your record appears you can see which books you have out, when they're due,
if you have any books on hold, and if they're ready for you to pick them up.
*When your finished click on Log Out located in the tool bar.
ON HOLD, SO WHEN IT IS RETURNED YOU
WILL GET IT NEXT:
*Go to Web Collection Plus
*Find the book you want by Title, Author or Subject
*If the book is not in, click on the title to bring up the book record.
*Click on PLACE HOLD / RESERVE.
*Type in your ID# for the barcode and your Last Name for the password.
*Click on circle beside HOLD ANY COPY
*Click on SAVE
*The screen will then list your numerical position on the hold list for the book you
reserved and when that hold will expire.
* Click on OK
* When your finished click on Log Out located in the tool bar.
